Responsible for some of electronic music’s most enduring classics, including the seminal ‘Higher States of Consciousness’, ‘Don’t Laugh’ and ‘How's Your Evening So Far?’, the Ovum Recordings boss and clubland luminary readies his first solo effort for Radio Slave’s Rekids this January. Turning in a standout EP featuring two tracks on the vinyl and a digital bonus, the US-based DJ/producer furthers his position as one of dance music’s most lauded acts. Leading the release, ‘Detroit Stab’ kicks off the A-side with hypnotic stabs and rigid, pumping drums progressing into an ethereal breakdown provided by hazy, floating pads. On the flip, ‘May Minimal’ sees Wink toy with rolling FM tones, modulating automation, and glistening synths. Accompanying the 12” is the digital-only ‘May Minimal (String Free)’, which strips the B-side of the strings, offering a welcome addition to USB sticks worldwide.

Junk Mail - 'Send It'

The return of Junk Mail follows his slot at the sell-out Andy C Wembley gig which saw tens of thousands descend on the SSE arena and watch as Junk Mail premiered new music to a packed venue. And these new tracks are now set to be unleashed on RAM Records, with both records demonstrating the tear out, no holds barred style which Junk Mail is renowned for.

With support already from label boss Andy C, ‘Send It’ pulls you into the New Year with a weighty kick to the synapses. A shredding guitar-style intro lends itself to the Junk Mail stamp, whilst ‘Radiogram’ is filled with expertly honed grooves which hit alongside every blaring note sequence offered up. Junk Mail does what he does best and highlights how he got bodies moving in Wembley. Meanwhile, 2022 will see more music to come from the producer, who’s switching up the gears as he enters its domain.
