A Brief History Of Goa Trance, release date: 05.06.2017. by Dacru Records - DCRCD039
Talamasca is back with an epic full album, themed around his love for the origins of our scene. He went back to his roots, his earliest memories of the music that had such a profound impact on his life, and selected 9 goa-trance pioneers that were of great influence to him. Going through the repertoire of these legendary acts, he made a selection of tracks with significant meaning to him, and reworked them all into one brand new musical journey. It's Talamasca's way to pay tribute to these artists, to bring beautiful memories to the first fans of the scene and to teach new fans about the origins of the music they've come to love.

"Bitmonx & Fabio - Erdbeer Kiwi" was one of the first tracks that got me into Iboga Records' sound in 2000. It was Minimal, Psychedelic, Hypnotic, and sounded like nothing else at that time. I closed a circle and remixed it together with my mate DJ Wasabi and it was just released on Iboga 20 years compilation "Hologram".

When your heart is in the right place, rhythm shall follow. And this path is a journey of discovering your inner groove. Reshef Harari from Israel, began this trip when he became 15 and started to be fascinated with experimenting with sounds. Not long after, Reshef started to collect vinyl and practiced on turntables, he would play the records all day, enchanted by the groove and curious to know where they can take him. The dancefloor was the next place to explore, so at the age of 17 he started to DJ at various parties where he could absorb and tune his skills of feeling the crowd. Another huge impact on his creation was the minimal Trance wave of that time with artists such as XV Kilist, Bitmonks and Paste, which inspired his deep crunchy tone.
The doors of perception to the world of Psytrance were first opened through his brother Rahav and one of Israel’s Psytrance pioneers Asher Haviv, who took him deep into this rabbit hole. Reshef got a job in a sound company, learning the process of compressing and EQing on analogue gear from scratch. After playing in underground parties, in 2003 he met Avi Nini, the owner of Domo records, and started DJing as part of that label. That same year he also founded the project Quantize together with Adi Ashkenazi. The duo released music at various labels, and their debut album Time in 2009 on Iboga records. After 7 years of collaboration, in 2010 they went their separate ways.
It was then time to wear the captain’s hat. Keeping his close ties with Iboga, Reshef started to remix, testing his interpretation to older tunes, while at the same time collaborating with his heroes back then who gave him inspiration. Popularity sparked with his debut album Human Design, released in 2011, which took him on an expedition across the world for the next 3 years. This album was a mile stone in his career, where he collaborated with Ace Ventura, Liquid Soul, Perfect Stranger, Loud, Tetrameth Freedom Fighters and ill.Gates, while giving each track a unique sound design, texture and colour. Traveling across the world and performing at festivals expanded his artistic horizons, and filled his mind body and soul with new energy sources. While on the road he was working for 2 years on a double remix album Akashic Library, hand picking the finest most unique pieces of music and released it in late 2013. At the moment he is collecting material for a new album, but the best way to understand the essence of the music is to tune into the frequency and feel the pulse of the Hook.

Caspa - 33 Degrees

The late night tremors persist… Caspa’s single-track ‘Vibrations Series’ continues with another demonstrative dead drop. Having launched late last year with the perennial underground smasher ‘Umbongo’, followed by the heavy drama and high demand of ‘Venom’ and ‘Get Higher’ the low-end pioneer’s mission is simple: To deliver crystal club hitters with singular focus on quality, no unnecessary fluff or flab to any release, just precision focused primetime dark room bass that make every bone in your body vibrate. Well, the clue is in the title.

Next up in the series is ’33 Degrees’. Not just the perfect temperature for living and playing, or indeed an acute angle, but a track loaded with such stark strings and solar science we guarantee every hair on your skin will stand on end. Fuelled by a series of warm, unhurried modulations that take a tonal twist on the second drop, the tune ploughs deep into the cosmos with a strident dynamic that leaves nothing in its wake. Ageless classicism.

With no final date in sight and Caspa going on record to say he’s sitting on the biggest percy stash of bangers he’s ever made, these tremors are only going to get louder. Trust us; we’re going to be feeling good “Vibrations” for long time yet. Like we said, the clue is in the title…

Pleasurekraft - Bellatrix (Official Video) [Kraftek]

BUY IT NOW: https://www.beatport.com/release/plea...

**Big thank you to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory & all the incredible men & women who make it their life's work to push the boundaries of human knowledge and understanding of our universe. This is our love poem to NASA's Cassini spacecraft whose epic journey to Saturn began back in 1997 and will come to a close later this year - thank you for all the inspiration!

PR:
As we head toward summer, label bosses Pleasurekraft have curated their first VA of 2017 - with a focus on quality techno records from some of their favorite producers, established and new. In addition to their own new single - the spacey steel drum led "Bellatrix", UK's Spektre joins the Kraftek family with their incredible record "The Ark". Spanish duo The YellowHeads keep up the intensity and continue to put out great track after great track - with "Hydra" being no exception here. Fellow spaniard Dave Sinner teams up with rising star SAMA from The Netherlands for the cosmically inspired "Sagittarius A". Keeping up the cross-country collabs are Montreal's Atroxx and Colombiano Marck D - with their chunky meditative techno exercise "Pieces". Another rising star - Hybrasil - from Dublin provides one of the deeper techno cuts on the EP with his early in the night groover "Elthy". Luca Marchese gives a nod to the rave days of old with his track "Obscure", and rounding out the EP - another Pleasurekraft favorite - Nikola Gala flexes his muscle with the atmospherically chunky "Helium".
We are very proud to present - Monolith Series Vol 1.

Killbox bring some of the nastiest sounds the Ram Records roster offers, packing the heat with every sonic delivery they unleash onto their audience. From their first unveiling at Ram’s seminal New Year’s Eve event, to their self-titled EP, Killbox exploded onto the scene with an unrelenting ferocity. Although this can only be expected from two artists who’ve played the game since drum & basses darker realms came to prominence, having been a part of it for over two decades.

Both Ed Rush and Audio are renowned for spearheading their styles, never bowing to commercial pressure and staying true to their roots. Following the runaway success of their first release on Ram, they return with ‘Clickbait’ featuring Rymetyme, adding to a slowly growing back catalogue. As standalone artists, they’ve already made a definitive imprint within Ram’s discography and it’s time for them to move Killbox even further into the spotlight.

‘Clickbait’ orchestrates Rymetyme’s moody, brooding vocals to give an even more sinister twist on the crunching sonics which underpin the record. A track which begins to build layer by layer with creepily distorted bass and an intro which steps its way into a weighty drop, ‘Clickbait’ throws you down a crazily signposted chasm of pounding drums and rattling metallics. There are no brakes for Ed Rush and Audio; ‘Clickbait’ runs through like a freight train, unstoppable in its destruction

It once again demonstrates how uncompromising the duo are. Killbox aren’t afraid to submerge you in their no-holds-barred approach, continuing their ascent pathed with every one of their nastily slick productions.
