Optiv & CZA - Cell Dweller / Pitch Funk - OUT NOW!

Cause4Concern Recordings

Pitch Funk / Cell Dweller:

Out now as a Beatport exclusive!

LISTEN NOW >>>>

1.  Optiv & CZA – Cell Dweller
2.  Optiv & CZA – Pitch Funk

Optiv & CZA (aka Cause4Concern) are back for another huge single, long awaited following the success of their previous collaborative output. Optiv is an already revered veteran within his field, bringing with him years of experience both behind the decks and on production. Teaming up alongside the dark renegade CZA, they've once again delivered two nasty slabs of sonic that'll be sure to take you into the murkier months.

‘Cell Dweller' is one of these tracks, winding up on slowly growing, lofty atmospherics and cinematic vocal sample. You're brought into a world which seems slightly disjointed, with bass creeping up on you unaware underneath. Shortly, you're transported into a world which only Optiv and CZA could create with their production skill sets. Quickly snapping beats suddenly explode, taking you deep into a slick of LFO and unforgiving breakdowns. Suddenly there's all-out war and it's time to grab your guns, with a groovinghook that explodes through the mix and grabs you synapses first. The guys don't hold back, fully embroiling you in their anarchistic production.

Then comes ‘Pitch Funk'. Giving a more classic twist on the neurofunk genre, the duo brings out a beast which has been sleeping soundly. Nodding their head to the sound which made the subgenre so formidable when it first reared its angry head, Optiv & CZA perfectly create a terrific conundrum of rolling drums and distorted beats, stepping their way through on a quickly fluctuating bassline. Prepare to be further taken into the darkness, because that's the only way Optiv & CZA can summon you with such intimidating, weighty records.

Teddy Killerz - Unbelievable - OUT NOW!!!

 LISTEN NOW >>>>>Stream:
Teddy Killerz have dominated the underground scene for quite some time now, throwing hit after hit since their climatic signing to Ram Records. After locking themselves in exclusively to the imprint, they’ve released a plethora of releases and played on some of the globe’s biggest dance music stages. Whether it’s debuting their music at Las Vegas’ EDC, or on the European club circuit, they’ve showcased new music spectacularly and expanded their fan base in each of the world’s corners. Transatlantic or in cross continental, the trio have delivered time and time again, both behind the decks and in the studio.

And the news is finally here, that they’ll release their debut album on the Ram imprint. Never compromising quality for bite, this LP is everything you’d expect from a Teddy Killerz record. The artwork also epitomises what they’re about, and the Nightmare Street LP brings you into their cartoonish world.

The first single to come from this album is Unbelievable. It’s a no holds barred monster, one which snaps on every break. Reeling forward on creeping atmospherics, crunching snare pushes you into all out anarchy, snapping at your heels yet keeping a cool complexity. Featuring a weighty composition, Teddy Killerz are back, pulling down the throttle and engineering a sound which is inherently theirs.

This is your first glimpse into what they have in store for 2017. And if this is anything to go by, Nightmare Street will ruminate across the drum & bass hemisphere for years to come.
