Justin Martin - Cicada (Claude VonStroke Remix)

Justin Martin made this really catchy deep house track called Cicada and I
decided to try and take it and totally freak it out Dirtybird style on
the remix. At the time I was influenced by both DJ Gregory’s afrohouse
music AND the big baselines coming out of the UK.  It's a very weird
combination of styles.  It almost came out like a Nirvana type
arrangement where they start everything really soft and then hammer in
with the chorus and then get soft again and the loud again.  When I
listen to it now I can hear how unafraid I was to try out new ideas.
It’s a really fun remix and I had a great time making it way back then.
