Himalia starts off where he finished with an incredibly accomplished new release with Pegdoll. His ability to tease out a groove that perfectly synchs with his collaborator's remains a unique skill.
Laurelle reappears on 'Do You Wanna' and manages to build on the secret classic "If.." from his last album Distances. Jade Parker, who has recently signed with Pegdoll in her own right, delivers a beautiful vocal that shines through Himalia's detailed production on 'Oh Hey' which shines as one of the brightest amongst these stellar tracks.
It would be easy to focus on the vocal led tracks on this EP, but by not celebrating 'Situations', 'Outer Space' or 'Escape This' it would be a significant remiss given the depth and strength of the EP 'Situations'.
Himalia's stylish instrumentals triumphantly augment and have already resulted in appearances on and alongside Equador, Mirror Signal, Robot Kotch, Synkro and Cafe del Mar releases.
