Tim Healey is back with an unmissable club weapon of single to launch his new label.
2 heavyweight original tracks primed for dancefloor devastation, flanked by a remix by emerging Brazilian tech house sensation Nytron.
With a slew of releases and several LPs spanning over 20 years, tv, advert and movie scores and a number of pop productions under his belt, the globe-trotting DJ/producer and former member of Coburn proudly announces the arrival of his new label with business/creative partner and chart-topping producer/DJ Tomcraft.
We kick off with the heavy-as-sin Kawaakari (Japanese for ‘the glow of a river in darkness’), and it’s a menacing, throbbing beast of a techno tune: huge bass, minimal percussion and abstract sounds jam around a haunting vocal before the pounding kick piles back in. Simply huge. Things don’t get much more ‘warehouse’ than this.
Death By Stereo, pulls no punches as a massive slab of tech house, where ginormous siren-like synths set the scene for bass mayhem when the 24 carat groove locks in.
Nytron is no stranger to regular digital store top 10 positions, and on remix duty, he tears up the original with a more cut up fidgety groove and super sub.
For a new label debut, this takes some beating. Tim Healey is most definitely back, and if this is the shape of things to come on DB Stereo, then people get ready.
